Obtaining online sales or conversions is not easy in any marketplace. Most companies have to go through some trial and error before they actually get things 100% right. Don’t look at any lost conversions as just a lost sale, but try and look at them as a learning process. Ask yourself, what do I have to do to achieve higher conversions? What should I tweak? Maybe my proposal stinks? If you ever get a chance to talk to a lead that has decided to go with someone else, ask them what their reasoning was.
Here are some ways to increase your online sales or conversions:
Ask top customers once in a while
Check to see if you have any customers or clients that you can call on to see how they feel about your website. They might have been working with you for quite some time so they are loyal and the lack of conversion aspects might not pertain to them any longer, but they will still tell you how they feel about something. Don’t be scared about what they have to say because the changes will probably help you in the long run.
Put out surveys to email recipients
Once in a while, offer a survey to your email recipients and in return offer them a coupon code for a one time service or purchase. You can even offer a reward to every person who fills out the survey. You can then ask them anything you want regarding your company or your website and how they feel about using it.
Check your analytics data
Your website analytics data is going to tell you much more than you think. If you have service pages or abandoned shopping carts, your analytics data could give you the insight that you need in order to strengthen those areas of your website.
Improving conversions on your website and through your business oftentimes requires lots of digging along with trial and error until you find that right combination that works ideally for you and your web based business.
