Google has new efforts underway to improve search quality and combat the slight increase in spam that has appeared in search results in recent months. Recently, Google has launched a new classifier that is better at detecting spam and improved their ability to detect hacked sites.

WHAT’S NEW THIS WEEK WITH YAHOO!:
Yahoo! Sketch-a-Search Updated with Dish Search
Yahoo! has updated its Sketch-a-Search iPhone app. It now allows a user to search for restaurants that serve a specific menu item within a targeted location on a map.

WHAT’S NEW THIS WEEK WITH BING:
Bing Feature Update: New Images Landing Page
Bing introduced this week a new image search landing page. It assembles some of the most popular images that have been searched for and displays them with the search queries associated with them.
